Why train at Kwak's Taekwondo?

Students and enthusiasts of Taekwondo have many reasons for their interest in the art. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-loss aspects of Taekwondo training. Others seek to add discipline and self-control to their lives, while others are concerned about safety and self-defense. Whether you are interested in Taekwondo for mental or physical well-being, we are sure that our Children's and/or Open Class will fit both your developmental needs and your busy schedule.

Open Class

Our open class is designed for children, teens and adults of all ages and abilities.

"Age does not matter
... Desire matters."

All students attending our open classes are part of a community that works together toward improved physical strength and stamina, better focus and concentration, greater self discipline, increased self confidence, and, most importantly, competency in self defense, tempered with the training on how to seek alternatives to conflict.

Our open class also makes it possible for family members ( Moms and dads, brothers and sisters, etc.) to train together. There is a saying in the martial arts:

"Families that kick together stick together."

Families that share a common interest, such as becoming a "Black Belt", often maintain or develop a special bond that improves the overall family relationship. Although you are working towards a common goal, you will find that each family member often obtains a different benefit from his or her training.  Class Schedule ...
